National Drag Racing Series: Quetta Quarter-Mile Showdown
By Tech Desk
The high-altitude Quetta Drag Strip is set to host the most competitive field of the year. Will the thinner air affect the turbo monsters?
The National Drag Racing championship heads to the mountains next month, bringing the thunder to Quetta's high-altitude airstrip.
Racing at elevation introduces a massive tuning curveball for mechanics. Thinner air means less oxygen for naturally aspirated engines, while turbochargers will have to spin faster to generate the same boost.
"Quetta is the great equalizer," observed the Chief Technical Officer of RASE. "The teams that can dynamically tune their fuel delivery systems to compensate will dominate the quarter-mile."
The upcoming showdown will feature head-to-head eliminations across three horsepower classes, culminating in the highly anticipated 'Unlimited Outlaw' bracket.
